A little video of the beautiful and historical Belmont Hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana being torn down. I have had many people tell me that this was the place to stay in Baton Rouge back in the day! It was a very beautiful and large hotel that had been negleceted and destroyed by the weather and vandals. You could see the mold on the curtains just from driving by. The first time I drove by it, I thought what a waste. It looked like an abandoned church compound or business center at first. Anyway, I always thought it was very interesting, and would have liked to have taken a tour of it. There's no telling what they will build there now.
